Faith, Hope and Jazz

A few months ago, I had the honor of sharing some thoughts in a chapel service at my alma mater. You can listen here.

In this talk, I share how I use metaphors related to jazz to help me understand my life as a follower of Christ. I'm interested in hearing what metaphors/imagery help you understand your faith. Feel free to comment below.

Update: If the first link doesn't work, you can also hear my talk by clicking here. You'll need to scroll down a bit. The date to look for is 2007-10-10.

Hey LaTonya,

I loved listening to your speech at Taylor! You have so many encouraging insights to share. :) It was really cool hearing you again--it kind of felt like I was there even though I wasn't really, hehe. I'm hoping to go to a summer camp at Taylor this summer. How did you like it there?

Hey, Cat!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by to visit the blog.

Yes, I definitely think you should go to camp at TU if you get the chance. Taylor was a growing place for me, and I'm grateful for all the things I learned there. I still keep in touch with many of my friends from TU, and some of my favorite professors, too.
