Gospel Grammy Nominations

The Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 48th annual Grammy Awards last week. You can read the list of gospel-related nominees here--scroll down to categories 51-58. Then, feel free to add your comments and predictions, if you'd like.

  1. Hello. Some time ago I wrote asking about sacred jazz. You were helpful. Right after that, on 12/12, my local radio station had a show on Jazz goes to Church. Their website posts playlist. This is what they had for that evening. Eric Jackson is a great jazz announcer with a great show. You can hear him at wgbh.com. (No I don't work for wgbh!)

    Thanks, this is great. I'll post soon about another cool discovery: The Jazz Nativity. I attended one a couple of weeks ago, and they really swung! It was great (the three wise men were a trumpet player, a tap dancer and a Latin percussionist). Swing a new song!
